Which sensor is better: WS69 or WS90?Updated 9 days ago
The WS69 sensor is a mechanical design for the rain and wind sensor. The rain gauge can be vulnerable if debris or insects get inside. So regular cleaning and maintenance is needed. However, it comes with its advantage: it measures rain more stably and consistently.
The WS90 array is all electronic and free from mechanical vulnerabilities. The wind sensor is more responsive and can detect minimal rain, like 0.1mm. However, due to the nature of the haptic rain design, it varies its accuracy against different types of rainy conditions, and tuning its sensitivity to achieve a higher accuracy is required. For sensitivity tuning, you can refer to another thread on this help center for more details.
