The measurement results from the LDS01 are unstable. The heater counter increases rapidly ( a few hundred on counters are recorded per day).Updated 2 months ago

When the LDS01 measurement results are unstable, they exhibit this shortcoming that the heater counter also increases by more than normal (less than 50 counts per day). This issue primarily occurs when measuring depth in a water or oil tank. The cause of this problem is that the laser beam reflects off the liquid surface, hitting the tank walls, and then reaches the probe with an inaccurate signal. As a result, the device receives a poor-quality signal, which mistakenly suggests that condensation is forming on the lens, causing the heater to turn on repeatedly.

To resolve this problem, please check the following:

1. Fine-tune the level of the probe and ensure small bubbles are centered or slightly offset in different directions. Monitor the data stability and see if the heater counter decreases. This may take some try and error processing to achieve the best result.

2. Ensure that the lens is free from condensation or dirt. Clean it regularly.

3. Verify that the LDS01 probe is securely mounted and properly installed on its base.
